As you get iron ore in the previous mission, we'll make some metal bars with the melting furnace.
At this point, we'll speak more in detail how the melting furnace is working. Before introducing ore material into the furnace, you must put some carbon in the furnace : it is the energy that will melt the next block. If you put more than one carbon, then the melted material will contain more carbon. This is desirable for some materials and harmful for others.
Note that whatever carbon you load in the furnace, all will be used once you put an ore in.
Iron ore is made in the same way as copper. Put one carbon and one iron ore in the melting furnace and you'll get one molten iron cube. Repeat the process 6 time to get the needed quantity of iron for the next 2 missions.
Now we'll make some Grey cast Iron Bar.
First, never make it in the same place you made the iron unless it has cooled down. Like in real life, molten metal will mix when in contact. We'll use that property further to make alloys. But at this time, we don't want the iron and the Grey cast iron to mix because this would mess the result.
So, make another separate melting furnace and pit as described in a previous mission, but you can also wait for your iron cubes to cool down before making new ones.
This time, we'll make one cast iron. Put 3 carbon in the furnace, then one iron ore.
When your grey cast iron bar have cooled down, you must also make 12 copper bar in the same way as described in a previous mission.
Once done, your mission is over...
